Career Development

ZOP believes strongly in the training and education of Zanzibaris. Over years several professionals have  been  helped  with  their  career development.  Two  medical  officers  from  Mnazi  Mmoja Hospital  were  sponsored  to  complete  their  advanced  diploma  in  ENT  at  Nairobi  Kenya.  A medical training scholarship continued to  a student to complete her Bachelor of Medicine in  China  and  another  student  has  been  sponsored  to  do  a  lower  limb  prosthetic  technology course  at  Moshi. A medical doctor has been sponsored to do Master in Audiology  in Manilla and a clinical officer was sponsored to do Diploma in Audiology at Nairobi

A  consultant  ENT  surgeon  was  sponsored  to  attend  a  five  day  course  on primary ear and hearing care in Nairobi.

Besides, on the job training http://www.freecast.org continued at Mnazi Mmoja hospital for 11 technicians on ear mould preparation training and 22 nurses were involved in training of newborn hearing screening
